A few images from tonight’s 804noise event, FM / Intrusion.
Without using Tommy’s laptop, I would not have been able to show the Photoblaster-esque videos… which turned out great (seeing them for the first time)… and they looked especially good accompanied by eletro-gritty headphone noise.
Also could not have shown at all without using ADA Gallery’s digital projector set-up.
This was my favorite noise show ever because… the event was prompt, music could be listened to (via FM headsets) or not, the space was not smokey, you could talk and freely interact… or zone out… PLUS, I got home at 9:30… without being stinky, tired, or deaf.
The next event from 804noise, also at ADA Gallery, will be a mix tape social (exchange thing) in late February.
My project, called Brown Bag Lunch, was able to do a segment in between a set by Ting Ting Jahe. Brown Bag Lunch turned more into a Doodleblaster audio-visual thing, but very grateful to share. Laptop in hand, I simply clicked through an interactive presentation with some pre-mixed sounds. Mostly doodles and simple animations.
